I
am an enthusiastic sales professional who has dedicated more than 40 years to a range of Australian industries, associations, professional
groups, and community organisations. From a career perspective, this has included direct sales roles and the management of both office staff
and a large sales team of a major multi-national insurance company.
In 2006, I entered the real estate field for the first time, working on a commission-only basis as a sales agent with a
long-established and respected Gold Coast agency. My entire focus was on securing residential property listings in a dedicated geographical
area, servicing the vendors of those properties, and among other specialised marketing obligations – hosting open homes on their behalf to
find buyers … with the objective of achieving property sales. During the next 18 months of collaboration with this firm and other sales
agents, I learned a great deal about real estate, and enjoyed considerable success in my newly adopted sales role. Moreover, I was able to
assist owners wanting to sell their properties and buyers who were seeking to acquire them. This was a great grounding for me in the
industry and set me up to move on with my new career, and my life in general.
I was invited to join a larger, well-known Gold Coast agency and spent the next two years doing much of the same – but with a greater
emphasis on sales by auction. This, along with access to more high-end properties and apartments, allowed me to grow into the industry … in
what now appears to have been a natural progression. The following year, I accepted a sales role with a leading Gold Coast commercial agency
and thereafter ... an acreage sales role on the Gold Coast. In 2021, I secured my full real estate agent's Licence and launched my own
independent and Exclusive buyer’s agency - as a startup.
